Information stored on this device

GroceryPlate keeps household preferences, confirmed pantry items, confirmed receipt text, prices, shopping and meal plans, favorites, import history and cooking progress in local app storage. It has no app account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, custom backend or cloud household sharing.

Photos and review

You can choose a photo from the system picker or use the camera to review receipts or possible pantry foods. Apple Vision processes the image on your device. The app does not upload these photos, save captured photos to your photo library, or retain them after review. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. Only items you explicitly review and confirm are saved to Pantry; photos do not establish item quantity, freshness or safety.

Optional on-device ideas

Optional on-device ideas use Apple's Foundation Models where available to suggest entries from the included recipe collection. The app does not send private meal data to a third-party AI service. The recipe collection and manual entry remain available when on-device ideas are unavailable.

Private backups

You can export a private backup and choose its destination using the system file controls. Backups contain private meal and purchase information. The destination or recipients you choose handle their copies separately. Restoring a backup replaces the app's current data after confirmation; the app provides an Undo action for that restore.

Reminders and cooking timers

Optional weekly and stock reminders use local notifications. iOS asks for permission when you enable them. You can disable reminders in the app or manage notification permission in system Settings. A cooking timer does not promise a background alarm.

Deleting app data

Delete all local app data in Settings clears the app-managed records and notifications after a successful save. It does not delete your original photos, exported files or older device backups. iOS backups may include app data according to your settings. Deleting the app removes local app storage; offloading may retain it.

External links

Retailer and coupon links open external websites. Those websites handle visits under their own policies. GroceryPlate does not operate their shopping or payment services.

Beta testing

For TestFlight builds, Apple separately handles installation, beta feedback and diagnostics; submitted feedback may be available to the developer.

Support correspondence

If you email support@cedararcade.com, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate your request. Do not send unnecessary private receipts, household information or photos. Contact the same address about access to or deletion of support correspondence.
